A Birmingham bank was robbed Thursday morning, and police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect. The holdup happened about 11:30 a.m. at Chase Bank on Crossplex Boulevard. The man entered the bank wearing a head covering, a surgical mask and carrying a backpack.

A bank robbery happened Thursday morning at the First Federal Bank in North Kansas City, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At around 10:45 a.m., the subject entered the bank, showed a handgun and demanded money.

JC Bank at 2421 S. Walnut St. The bank had just been robbed by a man wearing a face covering and witnesses said he had fled eastbound on foot after a bank employee gave him the cash he demanded. Police reported the robber approached the counter and handed the teller a note which told her to act normal and to give him money.
