The designer behind first lady Melania Trump's inauguration hat, Eric Javits, joins "CBS Mornings" to talk about his decades-long career in headwear. His iconic designs have been worn by celebrities.

Although his hats have topped clients from Beyonce to Barbra, it is his trademark "smooshie' hats for which most which Javits' local fans clamor.

Eric Javits also noted how women in the past wore wide-brimmed hats to set boundaries "so no one would try" to kiss them.
