An updated report was issued from the NWS Raleigh NC on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 9:15 p.m. for Forsyth County.

On Tuesday at 7:50 p.m. the NWS Blacksburg VA issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 8:45 p.m. for Stokes County.

Bateman is the first person presumed to have drowned on Belews Lake since 2014 when fisherman Jacob Line, 27, and James Bohenstiel, 44, went missing on April 17, 2014.

Authorities are still searching for 34-year-old Miles Austin McCarthy, who has been missing since Thursday. "The last place she was likely seen was at Belews Lake," officials confirmed.
