Where Vayu worshipped God Siva The Siva temple in Paruthipattu, called Vazhavanda Vayulingeshwarar, is associated with the God of Wind.

God Siva did as told, and appeared only with a tuft of hair in front. Hence the Tamil name ‘Munkudumishwara’ which means ‘the God with a tuft of hair in front’.
