Michigan hockey was able to upset No. 4 ranked Minnesota 3-2 in overtime. After being down by one goal for most of the second period, the Michigan offense exploded in the final minutes to take a 2-1 lead.

Minnesota men's hockey team overcame a third-period deficit to force overtime before falling 3-2 at No. 12 Michigan Friday night from Yost Ice Arena.

In the Michigan hockey team's eighth overtime of the season, a goal from Ethan Edwards helped the Wolverines defeat Minnesota.

Michigan, which was shut out against Minnesota (21-7-3, 12-5-2) in the first two meetings this season, was under siege for most of the second period and appeared to fall behind 2-0 with just under four minutes to play. Brodie Ziemer capitalized on a Michigan defensive zone turnover, but the Wolverines challenged for offsides leading up to the goal.
