New Jersey Task Force 1 (NJ-TF1) continues its search and rescue operations in North Carolina following the devastation caused by Hurricane

Members of a San Diego search and rescue task force were involved in a serious accident while heading to North Carolina to help with Hurricane Helene relief efforts, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department confirmed Sunday.

Amid devastation and a rising death toll across Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas due to Hurricane Helene, support has come from a multitude of communities.

Sunday, a search and rescue task force from Colorado traveled from Pinellas County, Florida, to Asheville, North Carolina, to aid in recovery operations following Hurricane Helene.

Six days after Ohio Task Force 1 was assembled to assist with disaster relief in Florida, the team has been dismissed and sent to another state in desperate need. Ohio Task Force 1 is now in North Carolina.
