The Children’s Gasparilla Parade brought wholesome pirate revelry to Tampa on Saturday, a family-friendly counterpart to the main parade next weekend. The alcohol-free event was a daylong party for children and their families.

The Gasparilla Children’s Parade will kick off a week of festivities on Saturday. It will be a fun-filled day as little pirates invade Bayshore. Along the street, seats, grandstands, and gates are already set up.

The city of Tampa has an interactive parking map that displays neighborhood parking for Children's Gasparilla. According to the city, "No Parking" and "Parking By Permit Only" signs will be posted and enforced Friday and Saturday beginning Jan. 17 at 12:01 a.m. - Jan. 18, and at this time, illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed and/or towed.
