President-elect Donald Trump's incoming "border czar" Tom Homan said on Saturday that targeted operations to detain migrants who are in the U.S. illegally will begin next week, and indicated they would involve several cities.

Trump campaigned largely on the issue of immigration, promising to carry out mass deportations of roughly 11 million illegal immigrants currently in the U.S.

Tom Homan has promised “shock and awe” in his capacity as border czar, and he has zeroed in on two cities he plans to target in the first days of the Trump presidency: San Diego and Chicago.
