Locksley has never coached in the NFL before. Prior to joining Maryland as their head coach, he spent three years at Alabama ultimately becoming their offensive coordinator. He’s been with the Terrapins since 2019 and after a rough first two seasons (5-12, 3-11 Conference Record combined), Maryland showed signs of improvement in 2021.
The Jets have begun conducting interviews to fill their head coach and general manager vacancies. Jets Chairman Woody Johnson is leading the search and hired The 33rd Team in a support role to help identify and vet candidates in addition to coordinate interviews.
