Given the ongoing trend, Baby John is expected to see a massive drop of 50% in collection today (day 13/ second Monday). The movie is likely to mint Rs 40-50 lakhs at the box office and will inch close to Rs 40 crores mark.

Varun discussed the adoption process, saying, "There was a definite purpose why Atlee presented this film to us. In order to use it as an adaptation rather than a true remake, we had to change a lot of the topography.

Baby John saw slight growth at the box office on its second Saturday. The film, headlined by Varun Dhawan, minted ₹80 lakhs on Day 11, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The action thriller saw an overall 14.98% Hindi occupancy on January 4.
