A Singapore court charged a property billionaire on Friday with obstructing justice and abetting offenses by a disgraced ex-transport minister jailed a day earlier in the city-state’s high-profile government graft case.

Singapore charged property tycoon Ong Beng Seng with abetment and obstruction of justice after sentencing to jail former Transport Minister S. Iswaran for obtaining gifts from him.

Subramaniam Iswaran is the first Singaporean minister to be jailed in almost fifty years. A case that has shocked a country famed for its squeaky-clean reputation.
