The City of Portland Auditor’s Office announced their decision on an investigation into Rene Gonzalez’s campaign for mayor.

Portland mayoral hopeful Rene Gonzalez has been found to have violated the city's campaign finance laws by failing to include a "paid for by" disclaimer on a sign displayed to the public.

The announcement comes after the auditor’s office said it planned to take another look at whether Gonzalez broke campaign finance rules when he used public funds to spruce up his Wikipedia page.
