The Champions Trophy 2025 drama continues to unfold after Board of Control for India's (BCCI) refusal to send India to Pakistan for the tournament. The Indian board has asked for a hybrid model, suggesting UAE as the alternative option for India's matches but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused it categorically.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board are engaging in back-channel talks with the venue for the 2025 Champions Trophy (CT) still uncertain.India has made it clear that they will not travel to Pakistan to play the mega event.

However, as per a report in India Today, the back channel talks are underway and ICC is doing its best to convince PCB to accept the hybrid model, which will see India play their matches at a neutral venue.
