A blue alert has been issued in Texas for Seth Altman. He is suspected of injuring a police officer and is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Texas authorities issued a Blue Alert around 4:50 a.m. Friday morning, launching a statewide search for a man suspected of injuring an officer.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the alert was issued for Seth Altman, 33, of Memphis, for "the killing or serious injury of an officer" in Hall County, which sits in the panhandle, just southeast of Amarillo.
