The Minnesota Wild and the Edmonton Oilers face off in Western Conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Connor McDavid had two goals and an assist to move into second place on the Edmonton Oilers’ all-time points list in a 5-3 win against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday.

Minnesota scored the first two goals, both on the power play, but Connor McDavid rallied the Oilers with two goals and an assist.

Vasily Podkolzin scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period, Connor McDavid had two goals and an assist, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Minnesota Wild 5-3 for their seventh win in eight games.

The Minnesota Wild hits the ice in St. Paul tonight, returning home after a one-win, one-loss roadtrip over the weekend. The Wild welcomes the Oilers this evening, as two 27-win teams are set to battle.
