Payments have finally started going out in the $100 million class action lawsuit Verizon agreed to settle, but the deposits are falling short of people's expectations.

Some Verizon customers were hoping to get as much as $100 as part of a 2024 $100 million class-action settlement. But many payments were nowhere near that total.

A class-action lawsuit filed against the company in 2023 claimed Verizon Wireless customers had been subject to an additional "administrative charge" added to their monthly bills to "extract extra funds" from them.

Verizon customers reported receiving settlement payments well below the minimum of $15, as stipulated in agreement.

Expecting to get $100 from Verizon from its class action lawsuit settlement? Expect to see a deposit or gift card for much, much less.
