The Maryland State Highway Administration will be pretreating all interstates and major routes in the Maryland suburbs of D.C., as well as Baltimore, Harford, Frederick, Carroll and Howard counties and expect to be completed by Monday evening in advance of the onset of the storm, a spokesperson told WTOP.

DC weather: Snow across parts of region Friday morning prompts school delays, disrupts commute
Snow is falling across parts of the Washington, D.C., area early Friday, prompting many school districts to delay or close and leaving drivers with a messy morning commute.
Sunshine returns Wednesday as chilly air sticks around with below-average highs in the low to mid-40s. Temperatures will climb above freezing by mid-morning. Have the sunglasses with a bright, blue sky expected.
Despite more clouds and patchy freezing fog, Sunday’s conditions remain dry across the D.C. area. Temperatures fall below freezing at night.
With Thanksgiving now in the rear view, and the calendar flipping to early December on Monday, a number of weather models are suggesting the potential for some wintery weather in the D.C. region, centered around Tuesday.
