A dozen police agencies in East Tennessee tell WBIR they have not seen any activity related to "Tren de Aragua."

Rausch claims the gang is involved in human trafficking here in Tennessee and, based on its operations in other states, will soon expand into retail theft rings and the drug trade.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - State leaders are warning of a dangerous gang that formed in prisons in Venezuela called Tren de Aragua that has been spotted in all major cities in Tennessee. TBI Director David Rausch said the gang has been known for human trafficking and bringing Venezuelan women to the United States and Tennessee illegally.

A Middle Tennessee sheriff took to social media Monday to assure his community that there is "no indication" of Venezuelan gang activity in Putnam County.
