Cook County judge dismisses Tiffany Henyard’s lawsuit to get on Thornton Township ballot
Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s lawsuit alleging that a caucus held last month improperly named state Sen. Napoleon Harris the Democratic nominee for supervisor was thrown out by a Cook County judge.
Tiffany Henyard said that she's "disappointed and shocked" by the action, and she claims that the clerk and attorneys didn't follow the township code for selecting a new trustee.
A three-hour electoral board hearing at Thornton Township on Jan. 15 saw the seating of court-appointed decision makers and a lengthy debate about a single sheet of paper.
