Rex Plant is the Chief of Police for the Memphis Police Department in Hall County, Texas who was shot in the line of duty by fugitive Seth Altman. Plant and another Memphis PD officer were serving a warrant on Altman for burglary when he pulled out a handgun and opened fire on them.
