Temba Bavuma has recovered from an elbow injury and been included in the squad to play two Tests against Sri Lanka as South Africa look to nail down a place in next year's WTC final. Bavuma, South Africa's captain, hasn't played since October 4, when he hurt himself diving to make his ground during an ODI against Ireland in Abu Dhabi.

Temba Bavuma, South Africa's Test captain, has recovered from his elbow injury in time to be available for their two-Test series at home against Sri Lanka. Bavuma will lead a 14-man side which also features Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee, both back the Test squad after 11 months.

Temba Bavuma passed the fitness test after recovering from an elbow injury that ruled him out of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Aiden Markram was retained despite the slump in form across formats while Senuran Muthusamy too stayed in the side after a good show in Bangladesh.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has been cleared to face Sri Lanka in two home tests starting in Durban on Nov. 27 after missing out on the series sweep in Bangladesh last month with an elbow injury.

If the Proteas win both Tests against Sri Lanka and then the next two against Pakistan, they will book their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at Lord’s in June next year.
