Aston Villa manager Unai Emery believes his side have "broken their bad spell" after earning their first away clean sheet this season in a 1-0 win at Everton.

David Moyes was granted a Goodison Park guard of honour when he left Everton to become Manchester United manager. He deserves to be carried into the new stadium in a Sedan Chair if he can keep this team in the Premier League.

David Moyes' return as Everton manager failed to muster a response from the toothless Toffees in a 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on Wednesday.But there was no new manager bounce as Villa took control inside the opening minutes.

"This victory is very important. We have started the year winning at home, in the Premier League and in the FA Cup. Away, we were in a bad spell and had to break it."

A familiar face returns to the home dugout at Goodison Park today as David Moyes begins his second stint in charge of Everton with a tough home EPL fixture against Aston Villa. Moyes was confirmed as Sean Dyche's replacement last week,
